AROMATHERAPY is an ancient art using pure essential plant oils which help the body to heal itself naturally and enhance well being. It is a truly ‘Holistic Therapy’, aiming to treat the whole person, taking into account their mind, body and spirit.

AROMA - The scent of an essential oil affects the mood and emotions of a person.
THERAPY - The biochemical structure of an essential oil has a physiological affect on the body.

There are several different methods of applying aromatherapy; steam inhalation, vaporising, bathing, cosmetics, toiletries, and massage.

Aromatherapy Massage is performed slowly to induce total relaxation and help bring about stress relief. Energy channels within the body are worked upon using pressure points to help unblock and slowly disperse energy as well as relieving tension from the nerve tracts, specifically the nerve tracts within the spine which constitute the nerve supply to the whole body.

Lymphatic drainage techniques hasten the removal of lymph and aids removal of toxins from the body. Other techniques include deep tissue, connective tissue, neuromuscular and effleurage which all help to increase vitality and energy in the body, as well as relieving tension from the muscles.

A synergetic blend of essential oils will be chosen for each person’s individual needs.

Aftercare advice may include the application of aromatherapy through methods mentioned earlier. These will be provided by myself and are included in the price of the treatment. You may also be advised to make some changes to one’s lifestyle. A positive mental attitude, a healthy diet and lifestyle can all help to restore health and harmony.

Aromatherapy is an excellent way of keeping healthy and should be used as a preventative treatment and not just when we show signs of illness. Should symptoms arise the benefits of this therapy may be used to combat:
  • Re-occurring problems - low immune system / irritable bowel syndrome
  • Stress related problems - anxiety / depression / insomnia
  • Hormonal problems - P.M.T. / menopausal
  • Muscular skeletal problems - tension / arthritis / rheumatism
  • Plus many other symptoms.
